I would recommend a firewall between the office and the "open" complex network. That would remove a lot of security threats.
Of course you can setup access control lists for all the shares on the ReadyNAS. Make sure anonymous access/everyone access is not checked. The user manuals will describe how to setup User Permissions. Go to support.netgear.com and enter the ReadyNAS model deployed to download the correct manual.
