    Might be time to use the nuclear option (factory reset and restore the NAS from backup).

Thanks Stephen.

 

I checked that as well - quotas were disabled there as well.

 

I have also noticed that the activity light is active a lot more even when no one is accessing the drives.

    Hello.

     

    Just a quick update.

     

    The factory reset has fixed the problem with SMB. Fingers crossed this won't happen again as the back (and restore) took forever!
