[SOLVED] Duplicate files?
Hi,
I was looking for files in my Nas(314/6.2.4) through ssh.
I found two copies of the files :
One where it is (/data/Documents.....)
One in /var/ftp/
Finally I found that var/ftp contains a lot of the files (Documents, Video) I had in other places.
What is /var/ftp?
Thx
Each share is a subvolume.
If you run df . on /var/ftp and /data, you'll see that the subvolumes (a.k.a. shares) have simply been mounted twice. There are some details here: https://lwn.net/Articles/579009/

Ok...i was a bit lazy....
Looks like the Nas is mounting there the shares I have FTP enabled for.
du -hs * shows a very small /var and a big /data.
I'm completely unaware of btrfs magic (subvolumes&friends) but is this how this is done (for my culture)?
Thx for taking the time to enlight me.
