Yes, I realize that the Sparc performance will always be less than x86. If Netgear offers to exchange my X6 for a 4 drive x86 version then I'd definitely sign up immediately, but unfortunately I think I'm stuck with a Sparc NAS like many others ;-) In which case I'd welcome a 48% performance improvement.

As far as I know there are no EXT3 drivers that are capable of read/write are supported on Windows 7 64-bit. I spent a lot of time trying to get them to work to no avail.
