I cannot understand any of your rant. Perhaps you should start by reading the manual: ReadyNAS_Business_SW. It's a bit old, but the basics are still the same. Once you have done that, you can come back and ask some specific questions, without including references to another brand of system I know nothing about, and we will try to help you. If something didn't work as you expected, state exactly what you did, the result, and how that differed from your expectation.
You do know that the RNDU2000 is an end-of-life product, I hope. It can be updated to the latest OS6 system, but that is not officially supported by Netgear. If you are new to the ReadyNAS, and it sounds like you are, purchasing an obsolete product was not your best starting point.
