System tab:
Click Settings. Click Services. Make sure RSYNC is enabled.
Shares tab:
Click on your source share (Documents), click Settings, click Network Access, click RSYNC, turn it on (default access can be read-only or read/write), click OK.
Click on your destination share (USB back right), Click Settings, click Network Access, click RSYNC, turn it on, make sure default access is read/write, click OK.
Backup tab:
Create a new backup job. Set the source to the Documents share, as you did before.
For the destination, set the parameters as follows:
Type: remote
Name: remote: Rsync Server
Host: [name of your NAS]
Path: [name of your USB drive]/[destination folder] (example: USB2_HDD/backup) (do not include any leading or trailing slashes; you might have to manually create the destination folder first)
Thank you so much, I'll give this a try.
