Squeezebox Media Server and AirPlay?
Hi all, I wish to use airplay on my squeezebox devices via the squeezebox media server (multi room purpose). Can one of you point me in the right direction? I'm new to the whole NAS thing but no...
How I did this:
I have the ReadyNAS Pro. On that I've installed the Logitech Media Server software (http://mysqueezebox.com/download). Within this media server you have the option to install a Spotify App. Via the Server settings (in your browser window), you go to the 'Server settings' > 'Plugins' menu. In there you see a full list of available plugins. Leave all active (as is). Make sure you disable the official Spotify plugin. this one never worked on my side. Instead of this, activate "triode' Spotify plugin. When done, 'save settings'. After this, go to 'Server settings' > 'Spotify'. Just fill out your username and password and you're up!
How to 'aiplay' now? Make sure your Squeeze devices are set up and connected to your NAS (NAS as a source, not mysquezzebox.com as a source).
On your iphone/ipad, install the 'Logitech Squeezebox Controller' (https://itunes.apple.com/nl/app/logitec ... ?l=en&mt=8). After installing, in the Logitech app you have the option to 'My Apps'. In there you select Spotify. You can access all your playlists, all the music and so on, on your Spotify account. Press play and your Logitech Media Server stream spotify it form the server to your Squeeze players.
