In any event, most people want playback on the their iphone or ipad, and unfortunately apple remote doesn't help for that.
Install an airplay speaker app on your device and it's possible. AirBubble for android works well, and I think airfoil speakers for iOS will get the job done.
Once the app is running it will be seen by the readynas iTunes server and you can select it as a speaker to send audio[emoji4]
The toughest part of the whole process is pairing the remote apps using a text file with .remote extension. Usually takes a few tries, possibly starting/stopping the iTunes server, but I've successfully paired the iOS remote app, and Retune and Remote For iTunes android apps. Your device name that's broadcasted changes from app to app so you can use iTunes desktop version to see what the actual name is , and use that name in the first line of the .remote text file.
