DLNA clients would be primarily for streaming to TVs with DLNA and some other media players. I think there is a ReadyDLNA app for iOS.
Your NAS has ReadyDLNA. It can only stream video as it is. If it is in the wrong format or the wrong quality for your client device it won't be able to stream.
Personally I think a RN314 running Plex Media Server would be the way to go for you.
