Streaming options NV+ v1?

I have AVPlayerHD installed on my iPad - it streams using FTP

First I choose "wifi transfer"
Then "FTP Client"
You need to enter the FTP stuff (IP address or name, port if non-standard, any username password needed).
It does remember recent connections.
Then browse to the folder, and select the media.
It begins playing in a few seconds, it is definitely not downloading the file.
FTP is the only remote access method it does.
It is meant for video, but it will play individual songs also (no playlist support or queueing).
