A moderator would be so nice to move this thread accordingly - no idea why (many!) users are posting ReadyNAS issues ot the Armor community sections. Probably because all ReadyNAS areas are visible under the business view only.
Provide details on what you have tried to configure. As an old sysadmin, I strongly suggest to define groups with similar access rights - so you have to define the shared folder access (by protocol) by group only one, and never have to touch the shared folders again. Just add or remove user(s) from the groups. Needless to say, you have to remove the everyone r+w which is in place by default.

This certainly works based on group (and group membership) as well as per user.Also, I suggest that you start by leaving the file permissions set to everyone read/write, and control access with network permissions alone.
In most cases, that will work, and it is easier to administer. Users can reset file permissions for files that they own (there's no way to prevent that), but they can't change the network permissions.
