Unresponsive RN214
Our RN 214 (fw 6.10.6) went unresponsive last week after we started to delete some snapshots. We let it sit that way through the weekend but upon returning Monday it was still not responding through...

StephenB Thank you. I'm dealing with that now trying to do drive cleanup with a 3-4 minute window before the NAS becomes unresponsive. It's fun.
Yeah.
If you are in the process of backing up the NAS, you could try booting it read-only.
BTW, a full OS partition can also destabilize the NAS. That's very different from the data volume becoming full.

How do I go about doing that? Read Only. Thank you.
It's one of the boot menu options.
For the RN214, see pages 58-59 here: https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/READYNAS-100/ReadyNAS_%20OS6_Desktop_HM_EN.pdf

StephenB Have actually made some progress. Booting in read only seems to have stabilized the NAS and it's not going unresponsive like it was. Question though we attempted to delete some snapshots in this mode and received the following
Cannot delete snapshot from the system. Failed to delete a snapshot. Code: 28004020001
We wondered if we are unable to delete snapshots because we are in read only mode. If so we will just start backing up data.

Thank you. Seemed obviously but just wanted to double check.
