Looking at your case support has now triggered a reshape of your array and once that completes the volume will then expand.
The initial estimate as to how long the reshape will take is usually an overestimate. You are using high capacity disks so it will take quite some time. The new disk needs to be synced sector by sector with the other disks to add it to the RAID.

I suggest using your free chat support (support.netgear.com).

Also before you contact support scan in a copy of the invoice for the RN516 so you can provide that if requested. Your profile indicates that your unit was purchased a very long time after the manufacture date, much longer than what is usual so support may see the purchase date as suspect and request a copy of the invoice to verify support entitlement.
Also download your logs so you can provide the logs zip file. I suspect that one of the disks may have been marked as a spare in a RAID layer.- ArquebusApr 18, 2016Aspirant
Hi,
Not sure what you mean with purchased a very long time after the purchase date, but anyway, I managed to create a support ticket at netgear.com, and I have already submitted my logfiles. I'll update you guys here and let you know how it goes.

Oops, I meant a very long time after the manufacture date.
