insert back the 2 drives (disk 1) and then destroy the volume
then u can hot unplug the 2 drives and insert 2 new drives.
with the 2 new drives in place then select them and create a new volume with raid 1 assigning the volume name as "disk 1". thereafter create shares and copy files from external hard drives to respective shares.
this of course done in flexi raid mode.
naming disk 1 disk 2 etc not appropriate. use array 1, array 2 or volume1 volume 2...

I use "data" for the first and "data2" for the second. Not very imaginative I guess.
However, "data" for the first is intentional. It ensures that any apps that hard-code the default volume name will install and work properly. That would be a bug/flaw in the app of course, but I see no reason to ask for trouble there.
