WDTV Streaming Read Access rights vs. Admin Write Backup
Greetings, I am trying to determine the best approach to setup my user (and groups if necessary) and permissions on my Readynas102 on OS6 and a WDTV Live Streamming device. I will be using the NAS...

BTW, though the choices are typed, they are checked - you should get an error if you type a non-existent user or group.
Well we are trying here. Changed them to admin. Got the same prompts...the initial "windows security "network prompt" that says "enter your password to connect NAS-name" that asks for username and password. THEN, I get another "windows security" "enter network password" box...this is the traditional windows account box that allows you to enter a password for "PCname/admin" which is the WINDOWS login. It also offers me to use another account if I want, again, just like a windows login. Now I have no windows password but at this box, neither leaving it blank works, or admin with a blank password, nor using the readynas admin login info works. It is almost like I am getting a double-authentication login. It is like it accepts the first login, but won't let me past the second.
Ironic....my 104 just showed up so going to backup the 102 and swap out my hard drives.
