Removing the only 'app' installed, dpkg will try to remove the /apps/ directory, watch out!
To keep from seeing an 'app' for htop, I used Debian's repo instead, for a stock console version (# apt-get install -t wheezy htop)
# apt-get remove htop
The following packages will be REMOVED:
