Which NAS Model to pick
Hi
I am looking for a NAS box to be our home media server & there are so many on the market I was hoping someone could maybe help narrow down the options based on what I want it to do. Obviously I want it to be a NAS device for files from my windows & linux machines, but I also need:
HDMI connection to play movies direct to TV
Sound output - I would like to connect it to speakers in my living room & play music stored on the NAS
Wireless would be ideal as at present my home router is the other side of the room to my TV
Dynamic DNS - to be able to access the NAS from outside the home LAN
Low power requirements - in these environmentally conscious days
Act as a bittorrent client, so I can set up downloads & go to bed for the night while it pulls them down
I would be appreciate any suggestions people have. Thanks

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserI don't know of any NAS box that also acts as a home media player. Generally they act as servers, and other devices are accessing them to play on your TV.
You could attempt to build your own. However personally I think you are better off keeping your media and file storage separated from your actual player.
