Windows 7 PC with 2 NICs - how to set up NV+

Hello

I have re-cabled my entire network with Cat-6 cabling using all 1GB NICs going into a D-Link DIR-825 Router.

I have a PC running Windows 7 64bit with two NICs, the one on the MotherBoard is an NVIDIA nForce 10/100 with an IP of 169.254.122.188 subnet 255.255.0.0 ( which is connected to the ReadyNAS NV+ ) and the other is an Realtek PCI GBE 10/100/1000 its IP is 192.168.0.108 subnet 255.255.255.0.

I currently cannot connect to the ReadyNAS and RAIDar 6.0 see's it but give the following error on trying to access it --- 'Your NETGEAR' Storage is not accessible from this computer, please check your network setting.'

Can someone give me a hand on how I am supposed to set up the NICs on this machine

Mark :?

Does your NV+ have an I.P. address in the 169.254.122.188 range?

If the NAS cannot pick up an I.P. address via DHCP it will self assign the I.P. 192.168.168.168. Perhaps you could set the I.P. address of your PC's NIC to e.g. 192.168.168.100
