They are still fairly active, but I don't think many folks are trying to switch to a different OS at this point.

Could well be different for the RN516.

Experience testing this suggests that the success mentioned here is dependant upon module support included in the opensolaris/nexentastore distribution.
and yeah, the 516 also seems different.
