It seems strange that a new setup wouldn't accept to the default credentials. You tried the URL I gave above?
Doing either a factory default or an OS reinstall from the boot menu should reset the credential back to admin/password.

Hi StephenB,
Thanks for your answer. The device is never used before. It is a new setup, but the provided credentials "admin/password" do not give me acces.
The firmware may be (extremely) old because I bought the device a long time ago but wasn't able to set it up due to personal circumstances.
So my question is: Will a reset to factory default also reset the username/password so I can acces the device?
Is there anything else I can do?
Thanks in advance

Hi StephenB,
I performed the OS reinstall. After the procedure I was able to reset the default password to my own, login and start using the ReadyNas.
Thanks!

You should update the firmware, first to 6.2.5.
Then as a one-off follow this procedure to update to 6.5.2: ReadyNAS OS 6: RN100/RN2120 cannot update due to invalid checksum
and then update normally to the latet firmware.
