X-RAID Recovery ReadyNAS NV+ V2 [HELP]
Hi All, Looking for what my options are to recover some data on a failed ReadyNAS NV+ V2. As far as I know the drives are fine (4x 3TB Western Digital RED) but the chassis will not properly boot...

As far as offloading data on a PC: One aspect is how to connect the disks to a PC. You can either use multiple adapter/docks or get a multibay USB chassis.
Once that part is figured out, you can purchase r-studio, and recover the data with a windows or Mac PC (https://www.r-tt.com/ ) It isn't expensive, and solves the issue of trying to learn how to manually mount the drives with linux.
Another option is to try to track down a new OS-6 NAS. Then Netgear paid support could temporarily mount your disks in that NAS. You'd then need to offload data. https://kb.netgear.com/29876/ReadyNAS-Migrating-disks-from-RAIDiator-4-1-or-RAIDiator-5-3-to-ReadyNAS-OS-6 The problem here is that OS-6 NAS are also scarce, and often overpriced. Several folks here are thinking Netgear is exiting the NAS market.
Either way, you will also need to purchase enough storage to offload your data.

XRAID does not use any proprietary format. On your NAS, it uses MDADM RAID, LVM volumes, and EXT formatting. XRAID is "just" a bunch of rules and processes that make using all that to allow easy expansion with the process invisible to the user.
But before you do all that, maybe we can help get your NAS back up if you more fully describe what's going on and how it transitioned from working to not. Also, have you tried removing the existing drives and installing just one spare (that contains nothing you care about) to see if it will create a new voume with it?
