NETGEAR is aware of a growing number of phone and online scams. To learn how to stay safe click here.
The right way to go is to use a built-in power supply with just a "8"or Mickey Mouse or IEC socket on the frame. External power adapters are indicating junk class products and are har to hide behind the frame. Netgear does it perfectly right on the bigger Ethernet switches.

Oh alternate power source would be the new announced PoE++ standards - however I'm aware not everyone is able or willing to install Ethernet cables (undoubted better than any Wi-Fi ...).

Agreed! Please integrate the power supply or at least have a non-gigantic external one that fits in standard recessed boxes.
