Custom Bandwidth Limits for Plus Switches (e.g., MS305E)

Hi NETGEAR team and community,

I’d like to request the ability to set custom ingress and egress bandwidth limits on Plus series switches like the MS305E, instead of being limited to the few predefined rate-limit options in the dropdown menu.

Right now, the switch only allows selecting fixed presets (64 Kbps, 128 Kbps, 512 Kbps, etc.), but there’s no way to enter a specific value such as 800 Mbps or 1.2 Gbps. This makes it difficult to fine-tune bandwidth and balance traffic between multi-gigabit devices or during QoS testing.

It would be great if future firmware allowed users to:

• Manually type in custom rate values (in Mbps or Kbps)
• Have more granular preset options (for example, 50 Mbps steps up to 2.5 Gbps)
• Optionally configure the same settings via SNMP or configuration files

Adding this flexibility would make the Plus line much more capable for small business and lab setups without having to move up to a more expensive managed series.
