Seriously think that a hidden SSID (or a MAC access control list) does add any more security than just security by obscurity? A so called "hidden" SSID is just invisible to the average user. The hidden SSID is there, will answer (with its complete name), even borrowing a MAC address (physical or randomized) from another active WiFi client yon your "secured" network is a question of a few seconds. I know about every "hidden" network in the neighborhood here, regardless.
