I see this idea since a long time and i don't understand why support do not made it !!
On the schedule Tab you can define only one period for one set of days.
It will be great to define multiple period to have an adaptative schedule (Week end, week, school, no school ...)
I see period schedule on another Netgear firmware PLW1000v2

What product model and firmware are you talking about here?
I could imagine weekend vs. workday (what can be variable in some locations worldwide already...) could be feasible. Beyond me from where your local school calendar should come into the system.
Support does not change specifications of products fwiw.
