Need to provide a mechanism to see MAC addresses on JGS516PE
You should not advertise a product as a 'Smart' switch when you do not provide the most basic and rudimentary functions that people are used to on a smart switch. Showing the MAC addresses connected to the switch is a level 1, basic verification and troubleshooting technique. This is my first use of Netgear switches and I am incredibly disappointed and surprised that you would not provide a way to see which MAC addresses are connected to the switch. All your competition do this with their smart switches (TP-Link) - Cisco etc.
Please add this feature to the Smart Managed Plus series as you do with the Smart Managed Pro series. I just found out the difference with your support.
Thanks.

The Netgear Smart Managed Plus switch cores can't do what you want to see as a feature, thus this request is simply impossible to implement. These switches are mainly adding basic configuration features like LAG, QoS, plus some more over non-managed switches -that is what makes the "Plus" part. This is implemented by a very simple switch core as used in embedded switch applications in combination with tiny controller. Historically, the management was done by a desktop App, Web access was added much later. These are not based on a managed switch core, the controller does not have access to the switch internals like MAC lists or IP ARP tables by switch/port/VLAN. Also adding SNMP is impossible for the very same reason; the tiny core does almost prohibit implementing a https access, too - two more feature often requested for this product line. Everything - and much more - is readily available on the Netgear Smart Managed Pro product line.
As you mention it: TP-Link does offer the similar switch class designated as Easy Smart Switch 8-)
For some reasons, Netgear and their competitors do publish data sheets and user manuals. Not difficult to see what you get for the slightly higher by-port cost of a non-managed quality switch. So the potential customer should be informed well what he gets - and what not. No need to waste your time with support.

-Kurt.

FWIW: Cisco does not offer anything in this switch class or anywhere near to the per-port cost.
