I would like to see SNMP monitoring added to a future firmware release. Tracking port usage and monitoring basic switch health is central to "managed" switch functionality. Having to connect to a web interface to check the switch status is a reactive appoach. Adding SNMP would be welcome addditon.

Suspect you talk about the Smart Managed Plus switches (or some related Gaming or Lifestyle units). There is no way on that model line - even the basic information isn't available from these tiny switch cores. For SNMP supported units, look at least into the Smart Managed Pro or managed switch model lines.
