M1 Nighthawk and 3G

Hi,
I have a single antenna (Axis CLR8-W) which I want to connect to my M1. I was looking for a single FME male to TS9 patch lead but the local Telstra shop sold me one with 2 TS9 leads and said they should both be plugged into the M1 as it has two jacks. There seems to be a mob of info out there that you would only use both jacks if you had two antennas or a mimo.
Is it OK/necessary to use both leads or should I take it back/cut one lead off?
One site said one lead was for the modem, the other for an old type mobile phone from when they used to have antenna jacks. I'm confused!
Thanks

Thanks for that; my lead is one FME with 2 x TS9 tails coming off it.
I'll take it back and get a single.

Re: M1 Nighthawk and 3G
You can connect just one antennae. If just using one make sure to use the left port as it is the primary as viewed from looking at the ports. Does your lead have 2 fme connectors with the 2 TS9? If so just ignore the second one and don't plug it in. The modem does support mimo and that requires 2 antenna. But I ran mine fine on just the one. I have since connected a second antenna to the other port in mimo set up and it gave me roughly a 50% boost in speed.
If the patch lead is 2 ts9 to one fme then I would return it as it is not suitable for your modem
