Arlo Go using car battery to keep charged for extended periods

Is it possible  to use a car battery, 500w inverter and the supplied rechargable batteries and charger to keep the unit charged for extended periods?

Seems plausible although I wonder what the power drain from the inverter would do that strategy. I'd use a marine deep-discharge battery instead of a car battery.
