How to set up the Arlo Baby Camera

To set up the Arlo Baby Camera:

Note: Make sure the camera is within 3 to 6 feet of your Wi-Fi router during the setup process. Avoid placing the camera within close proximity to other Wi-Fi devices to avoid signal interference during the setup process.

  1. Launch the Arlo Secure App.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and tap Add New Device.
  3. Tap Cameras.
  4. Tap Others.
  5. Tap Baby.
  6. Tap I Understand.
  7. Plug your camera into an AC power outlet.
  8. When the camera LED turns solid amber, tap Continue.
  9. Tap QR code setup at the bottom of the screen.
  10. Enter your Wi-Fi credentials, to include Network Name (SSID) and Password.
  11. Tap Continue.
  12. Hold the Sync button on your camera for about two seconds, and then release. 
    The Blue LED will start blinking.
  13. Tap Continue.
  14. Hold the QR code about eight inches in front of your camera.
    You should hear a chime.
    If you didn't hear a chime, visit: My Arlo camera will not scan the QR code during setup
  15. Tap Continue.
    The Looking for device screen displays.
    If Arlo does not discover your device, visit: What to do when Arlo is unable to discover your device during an install or setup directly to a Wi-Fi router
  16. After Arlo discovers your device, type a Name for your camera.
  17. Tap Continue.
    Your camera is now active.
  18. Tap Finish.
