You can use the Arlo Secure App and a compatible camera to have a remote conversation with someone who is standing next to your camera. If you want to speak to the person who approached the camera, tap the camera feed in the Arlo Secure App, tap the microphone icon, and begin speaking.
- Arlo Ultra Series, Pro Series (Pro 3 and newer), Go 2, Essential Cameras, and Video Doorbell use full-duplex 2-way audio. You only need to tap the microphone in the Arlo Secure App once to engage in a conversation.
- Arlo Pro 2, Pro, Q Plus, Q, Baby, and Go use push-to-talk, which works the same as using a walkie-talkie. This means that you must press and hold the microphone in the Arlo Secure App to speak, then let it go to listen to what the person on the camera side says.
Note: Your device must include or be connected to a working microphone for you to have a two-way conversation with your Arlo camera.
