Are there any built in features like filters or special software that will prevent the camera from being blinded by a laser pointer?

Do you mean blinded permanently? I don't think there's any protection from a laser attack. Which camera systems do have some sort of protection?

TBMK, all cameras have issues with lasers ( in the real world price range anyway )...

I do think that if you believe it's going to be an issue then have some cameras overt and some covert.
