Hi All,

It seems with Arlo Q Plus, recording is possible without WiFi...

If camera is not connected to the WiFi, all the recording is done in the loop on the SD-card.

Is that correct?

Thank you!

The only way to view recordings made on an SD card it to eject it and use a PC.

The manual says "you can use an SD card as a backup location to store recordings". It says nothing about using a card as an alternative to the cloud.

As I see it, no cloud = no recording.

It's definitely a backup device but recordings will occur. As noted, you have to remove the card to view on a computer and you won't be able to do anything with the camera since there's no Internet connection.

It can be done but with very limited utility.
