Wanting to know specifics on Arlo Q or Arlo Q pro

I recently purchase the Arlo wire free cameras and was not able to use them for what I wanted.  I need a device I can set up from the inside windows primarily that will pick up motion from outside thru glass or windows.  An agent told me the Arlo Q series is what I needed but do I have to run a wire from where I want the camera to my computer router.  What is the set up process?  Any specific advice on s

The Q camera WILL work thru glass windows...I use mine thru doublepane Andersen windoes.

It uses pixel change detection process

They only need to be plugged into the ac outlet.... cord is about 7-8 ft.  It will hook via wifi to your home router
