The first batteries which came with the camera was working for four months and then suddenly went down to 0% and the camera sent me a message to replace the batteries, which I thought was OK. I didn't react during the first months about the percentage of batteries left as they worked quite well.

Replacing those batteries I started to study the percentage left numbers and they are really confusing. The day after I replaced hem both cameras indicated 16% battery left right away. I checked the batteries and they were 3,2 Volt each. Opening the battery door and closed it again, and now they show 50% left, and it seems to jump up and down each time I open the battery door....?? Measuring the single battery still shows 3,2V.

What to believe here and what to do??

An unloaded battery will read higher than one under load. However, try power cycling the base first.
