ARLO BASE STATION CONNECTION ISSUES

After reading the community threads about the base station Internet connection problems and trying several solutions listed with no positive results I seem to have stumbled on the fact that not only your email needs to be confirmed but your mobile device needs to be on the exact Wi-Fi network that your base station is on..you cannot properly set it up with your mobile device on just 4G and your router on Wi-Fi.. once you're on the same network you immediately get camera firmware and base station firmware updates and the system works perfect

Yes, this has been known from the start... sorry you couldn't find it. 

But YES, in order for the mobile device to find the base , etc they MUST be on the same network during the original setup

 

After , it doesn't matter
