Hi

How do i setup a Static IP for the base station, my router has DHCP turned off for security and it doesn't have the option of setting a ip via MAC address (router) . How do I setup a static IP on the base station suerly this can be done, but I cannot find a way to do this. really getting annoyed with this. Can anyone help me out. being a netgear device surely there must be a way.

I really don't want to turn DHCP on and reconfigure everything else. if this is not possible only way is to return this

The base requires a DHCP server. The only way to do this is to run your own server, whether via a router or perhaps a computer running a minimal server.  If you're on a business network, you'll need to work with IT for permission and setup.

I believe that would be more in the router ( not in the base unit )...

You can prob assign a static IP knowing the mac address of the base ( easily obtained, I think it's also printed on the base label )...

Jeff or other prob have more knowledge here than I and will chime in.

Edit ; Ok Jeff
