Hello,

My arlo system will pick up cars on the street like the mailman and the garbage truck, but it won't pick up any humans riding bikes or anyone walking a dog on the sidewalk.  Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Thanks!

Cars and other large vehicles have a massive IR signature and also reflect a lot of IR at the camera so often trigger cameras even without being in the FOV. Even a camera with motion zones may be triggered by large vehicles outside of the zones but really that's your best bet. For someone wanting to capture people walking on the sidewalk, you pretty much must allow for cars to trigger the cameras. The best option is an Arlo Pro 2 camera with constant AC power. This will give you motion zones, 3 second lookback, and you'll not run out of battery power.
Your other solution is to not bother with trying to record the sidewalk and position the camera so it only triggers when people enter your property. Even then, if the camera is pointing at the road, large trucks can still trigger it
