Reiseziel nicht verfügbar

Hallo zusammen,

ich hatte einen Plattenausfall an meinem Ready Nas Duo. Habe die Platte ersetzt und sie wurde automatisch wieder auf den Stand gebracht. (Raid 2x 1 TB)

Nun will ich erneut sichern und es läuft einfach nicht durch.

Im Shadow system bekomme ich andauernd die Meldung Reiseziel nich verfügbar.

Dieses klicke ich dann über OK jedesmal weg aber es erscheint immer wieder und dabei bleiben die Backup Vorgänge stehen.

Trotz dessen ist der Ready Nas über das Netzwerk einwandfrei erreichbar.

Was muss ich machen?

Welcome to the community!

 

Are you backing up the data stored to the NAS using a backup software installed to you computer or you are backing up computer data to the NAs using backup software installed to the computer? You mentioned Shadow, I presume that is NTI Shadow.

 

If you are trying to backup computer data to the NAS, make sure the destination share has no permission settings that will block the application from accessing it.

 

Please let us know the current FW version of the NAS and the permission setting of the source and destination older/share.

Hi guys, yes I'm trying to backup my computer data to the NAS and I'm using NTI Shadow for it.

The FW version is 4.1.14.

Where can I find out the settings you are asking for?

Actually I haven't changed any thing to what it was before the HD swap.

You can find the settings under shares->share listing (just select the share's involved in your backup job). For more information, check this NETGEAR article.

sharename:  Backup , Media

Descritpion: backup share, media server share

Both: CIFS, AFP, HTTP/S

 

I do not have the security mode button in my menu.

I've edited my last post. Anyway, could you check if the same permission settings are applied to your share if you are using CIFS and AFP. Lastly, ensure that the NTI shadow software is not being blocked by your PCs firewall or Anti-Virus software.

Hi guys, I checked the settings. They were OK as per your advice.

No I explicitly added NTI Shadow as accepted app to my antivirus application.

Even if I haven't changed there anything before I hope this helps now.

Hi skrueger,

 

That should do it. Backing up files using NTI Shadow is easy, you just have to select the correct directory in your computer as the source and one of the ReadyNAS shares as the destination (and vice-versa). 

 

Hope your backup will run this time.

Hi skrueger,

 

Can you confirm if the folder in your PC is shared when the backup started? Also, give the built-in backup manager a try and see if it copy's your data.

It does not work at all anymore.

The nti shadow tool breaks up every minute until the whole application stops. The error message still says "Reiseziel nicht verfügbar".

I have been deleting everything on the NAS and started from scratch but still the same picture.

There might be a problem with the NTI shadow software installed in your PC. Have you tried using the built-in backup manager of your ReadyNAS? Here's an article that you can check.
