Re: 8.0.6.4 firmware on WAC540 is buggy
8.0.6.4 has 4 SSIDs called Netgear5, Netgear6, Netgear8, and Netgear9 that seems to be hard coded in the formware.. No way to get rid of them.
I downgraded to 8.0.5.5

Re: 8.0.6.4 firmware on WAC540 is buggy
Hi Gautam Das,
Those are all default SSIDs. You should be able to change it according to your requirement. This is the behaviour in standalone mode.
If you are managing with Insight App then you should be able to change SSID from the Insight. You will be NOT able to change from the WAC540 AP web UI in this case.
Thanks,
Raghu

Re: 8.0.6.4 firmware on WAC540 is buggy
I hope in the next release this is is fixed. It is ridiculous to expect preconfigured SSID names the user cannot delete, whether managing via WebUI or otherwise.

Re: 8.0.6.4 firmware on WAC540 is buggy
By defaulft AP will have one SSID that can not deleted but this can be renamed into your convieninet SSID name. Please add more details so that we can understand your issue.
Thanks,
Raghu

Re: 8.0.6.4 firmware on WAC540 is buggy
Unfortunately I do not have a spare WAC540 to put 8.0.6.4 on to give you logs or screenshots. I have rolled back to 8.0.5.5. If you are running 8.0.6.4 you should be able to see the 4 SSIDs I mentioned.

While I must agree that the default names are a litle bit an odd design, we don't see these "on air" on 8.0.6.4 here - at least not after removing one of the SSIDs configured (currrently using all four SSID on our playground).
