I am in need of a ceiling mounted access point with poe. What models are compatible with my existing R9000 router? Can the access point use the same SSID as the R9000?
Will it integrate like a mesh system and offer seamless roaming? Nope.
the R9000 isn't a mesh router/system. You can use the same ssid but devices will tend to be "sticky" and not roam like they would in a mesh system.
In terms of POE access points, you can view the netgear business access points that'll have some models that support POE. There's a filter to filter out those that doesn't support poe.
