Can the WAC505 & WAC510 be connected to a non-Netgear router
Do these wireless access points need to be connected to a switch or can they be connected directly to a non-Netgear router?

Any (ideally Gigabit) Ethernet port can do the job. Mind you, if these are not PoE switch ports (router ports don't have PoE commonly) which can power the WAC505/WAC510, you have to order the optional power adapters.
