Helping setting up wireless network
Hi,
We have a Cabled LAN network, and an access point that allows our laptop users onto the network wirelessly. The problem is that the signal for this access point is strong upstairs but very weak downstairs. Is it possible to set up another access point with the same SSID so that it seemlessly hands off the laptops user to the strongest signal?
we are using WG103's
thanks
Gareth

I see no reason why not. Mirror all the settings except IP & channel, use 1, 6, 11 don't use same channel on both. You might have some other unique settings but it should work.

Re: Helping setting up wireless network
If you have ethernet downstairs then NO..
But if you don't repeating is need but problem is you will be limited to WEP/54Mbps or No security. Extender will be better to keep the WPA2 encryption . ex wn2500rp
