yes, factory default. so i opend a replacement call at netgear support
the exchange the ap to a new one.
now everything is working
it seems that the config could not stored permanently in the chips

Re: WAC505 looses configuration after power loss
Hi Thomas Minichmayr
Welcome to the Netgear Community. Do you know the firmware version that AP is running?
Does this happens when you do manual reboot from UI?
Does this happens when you connect AP with external power supply and reboot happens because of power shutdown?
Thanks
Raghu

Re: WAC505 looses configuration after power loss
Can you share the switch model details that you have connected your AP?

Re: WAC505 looses configuration after power loss
Could you please save the detailed logs from monitoring page and send it for us to debug?
Thanks

Re: WAC505 looses configuration after power loss
the switch is a dlink (not netgear), modell DGS-1008P from d-link
other poe devices are working ok - e.g video surveillance cams...

Re: WAC505 looses configuration after power loss
i configurated the ap on monday for testing purposes
no entries about that in the log
yesterday i detached the ap and tried to bring it to its final place
no config
therefore i configurated the ap again.
no entries about that in the log
today i tried to simulate the power failure and config loss again
new configuration
stupid question - how can i send you the config through this tool - only some dosc are allowed, no tar.gz file...
