WAX202 Wake on Lan

I have added the WAX202 access point to my network. But it looks like it blocks my WOL requests send by a connected wifi device. Do netgear access points support WOL package passthrough?

@Jap365,

I apologize for the late response. 😞

I inquired your concern to the higher tier of NETGEAR Support and I got an update that Wake On LAN (WOL) is confirmed NOT supported on WAX202.

Re: WAX202 Wake on Lan

@Jap365,

Welcome to the community! 🙂

Is your WAX202 set to Router mode or AP mode?

What is the current firmware version of your WAX202?

What is the specific wireless device/s that sends the WOL requests?

Kindly post a diagram of your detailed network setup.

Re: WAX202 Wake on Lan

It is in AP mode with latest furmware 1.0.5.1.
A raspberry pi (wireless connected to Wax202) sends a WOL command to a NAS (Wired connected to the WAX202). Wax 202 is wired to a Modem/Router. Without WAX is worked, wirh WAX it doesn't. Same IP's, same command.
