WAX630e wont accept known password to login to setup

I'm setting up my new WAX630e WiFi 6e access point locally and all goes fine. I enter all the zero-day setup information correctly including the password that is to access local setup. It then exits the Zero-day setup, takes sever seconds, or at least a minute and eventually presents the logon screen. Upon entering the user name and password previously set in the Zero-day setup the WAX630e responds with 'incorrect password' if I keep repeating the name and password the WAX630e will soon lock my out for minutes and the more I try the longer the lockout penalty.

I am able to connect to the internet with my phone through the WAX630e so that part is working.

I have reset the AP multiple times and entered the Zero-day information repeatedly even trying different passwords and always the same result. I am using the local setup and not the cloud managed setup. (I don't wish to subscribe, even though the first year is free)

Anyone have this problem? Any solutions?

Thanks.

Re: WAX630e wont accept known password to login to setup

Sounds familiar in case you had the WAX630E linked up with Insight once before: insight will take over control, and set the location password once it does gain access to the cloud. A local device reset does not change anything, no matter of how many times you are going to repeat the factory reset process.

in case, you can [x Delete] it from the Insight Web portal, resp. [Remove] it from the Insight App.

Re: WAX630e wont accept known password to login to setup

Thanks for the tip!

I was able to use Insight to set the password and was able to go into setup locally and change it then I removed the WAX from Insight all together. All good.
