WC7520 Rebooting Itself

Hi Everyone,

Beginning this week, I have had an issue where our WC7520 randomly reboots itself (not the APs, the controller). We're on firmware version 2.5.0.42. The controller just reboots itself, which kicks everyone off the wireless (which we are mainly using in a school) until it initializes, then all APs connect, apply settings, etc.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Re: WC7520 Rebooting Itself

So it looks like this is due to an issue with firmware version 2.5.0.42, as it has been pulled and 2.5.0.43 is in its place.

I found a very similar situation on the community after my initial posting > WC7520 reboot Issue after AP's ip change.

Re: WC7520 Rebooting Itself

It just happened again when I unplugged an AP from the network to plug into a desktop switch (without powering down the AP first).

Could this somehow be the cause? It's the only thing that I did around the time that it happened this afternoon and, now that I think about it, the other day as well.

Hi,

Did you get a chance to upgrade WC7520 firmware to the latest 2.5.0.43?.

Re: WC7520 Rebooting Itself

Yes, I installed the update.

I noticed that I had an AP unplugged from power one day, plugged it back in and the system did not reboot as it did on the prior firmware version installed. Everything seems to be working as expected.
