WMS 5316 and multiple AP's
We have 6 WNDAP360 access points managed by a WMS 5316 all in a basic group, only using 2.4ghz.
Our clients are range of laptops running windows 7 pro to windows 10 pro.
Various hardware configs and vendors (lenovo, a couple of HP, mostly Dell and 3 or 4 asus laptops).
All units throughout the building have the same problem:
At any given time we have about half a dozen laptops connected, maybe just as many phones.
WIFI drops out after around 5 to 10 minutes of use.
Sometimes we connect successfully with limited connectivity.
Othertimes we connect, have no issues, then after 5 to 10 mins we get the "limited" message
All firmwares have been updated to latest and we have reset all the AP's and the management box.
Can comebody help?
Re: WMS 5316 and multiple AP's
Welcome to the community!
Let's isolate the problem. Kindly answer the questions below:
a. Was the wireless network working fine before? If yes, are there any recent changes made within your network setup?
b. If you try to unsecure the wireless network, does the wireless connection still drops out?
c. Have you tried changing the wireless channel? If not yet, kindly try changing the wireless channel to either channels 1, 6 or 11 then check if same problem occurs.
d. How high are the APs from the floor?
e. How are the APs mounted? Are they mounted on the ceiling or on the side wall?
f. Are there any other wireless networks nearby other than your existing wireless network?
I look forward to your response.
