WMS5316 Firmware Upgrade to 2.1.2 Fail

I have tried several times to update the firmware and it reboots back to 2.0.3. Tried calling support, but they won't talk to me without a serial. Heaven forbid I should have it in a rack in a computer center across town!

Are you still experiencing this issue with the WMS5316?
If you are, how are you going about the upgrade process?

Re: WMS5316 Firmware Upgrade to 2.1.2 Fail

We had the same issue.
We have 7 WNAP210, a WMS5316 and about 50 wifi users.

WMS5316 is not a controller.
It's rather a management station.
It is safe to turn it off/on, upgrade without wifi service interruption!

And we decided to solve the problem this way.

1. Prevented WMS reboots by disabling NTP. Look that thread http://forum1.netgear.com/showthread.php?t=75569
2. Factory defaulted WMS, upgaded it from 2.0.3 to 2.1.2, configured it again.
3. Reread WMS firmware release notes and downloaded the recommended firmware for access points (not newer ones).
4. Then we upgraded one AP, defaulted it, connected/synced with WMS. And so on with other APs ...
