AC1200 (model C6220) Does this device log IP address conflicts?

I'm helping a friend troubleshoot a problem with his AC1200 (model C6220) cable modem.  I suspect there is a periodic IP address conflict but it's difficult to talk a non-techie person trough troubleshooting over the phone.  I thought that since that cable modem does log some events, it might log a detected IP address conflict.  Anybody know if this is the case?  If that device does indeed log such events then I will try to talk the user through logging in to the modem's web interface and checking the logs.  If not, I won't bother trying to talk the used through this.

Any evidence for that?  ("periodic" or "occasional"?)

I'd expect to find evidence in the log of the DHCP server granting an
address to a client device.  I wouldn't bet that the router would notice
a conflict, let alone record it in its log.

In my experience, the usual cause of an address conflict is the
presence of multiple DHCP servers on the LAN.  Less frequently, a user
will assign a static address (not a reserved dynamic address) to some
device, but leave that address in the DHCP pool, so that the DHCP server
can grant it to some other device.

Actually, the cable morem/router is the DHCP server.  I found no information about what types of events the device logs.  Maybe I'll have to open a ticket with Netfear support.
